THE APD MODEL

The importer-direct model

The panel didn't get cheaper. The supply chain got shorter.

A lower price does not have to mean a lower-grade product. In this case, it means two decades of importing know-how, a panel improved at source, and a route to your home that stops before the retail markup begins.

Sourced with expertise, material samples still-life

Sourced with expertise

Two decades of importing know-how

Twenty years of overseas sourcing sits behind every panel. We know what to buy, who to buy it from, and what makes a UK customer return for the next room.

Improved at source, panel section with calliper and spec sheet

Improved at the source

Specification refined for UK homes

The panels weren’t lifted off a factory shelf. We reviewed the spec, thickened the backing, narrowed the slats, and built the product around the way UK rooms are actually used.

Sold direct to the door

No retail journey in the middle

Once landed in the UK, the panels come straight to your home. No showroom. No retail markup. The cost of the middle of the supply chain stays out of the price.

Your wall won't know you paid half price.

PANEL CALCULATOR

How many packs do I need?

Enter your wall size in metres. We’ll work out the packs and the price.

DIRECT FROM THE IMPORTER

The price is real.

The panel didn't get cheaper. The supply chain got shorter.

Every colour is £16.65 per panel and shares the same 8mm PET backing, 27mm slats and 240 × 60cm dimensions. What’s been removed from the price is the wholesale and retail journey — not the specification, not the quality, not the panel.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

What we improved at source

We improved the panel. Then shortened its journey.

The panels weren’t accepted as they came. Three decisions were made at the factory that most brands do not bother to make — and each one shows in the finished product.

8mm PET acoustic backing detail on Oak acoustic wall panel

8mm PET acoustic backing

Deeper than the market standard

An 8mm dense PET felt layer sits behind every slat. Many market panels use just 4mm or 5mm. This one is built to absorb more of the room.

27mm slat width detail

27mm precision-cut slats

Narrower for cleaner installation

Slats sit at 27mm rather than the wider profiles used elsewhere. That cuts less timber, reduces waste, and makes cutting panels to size easier.

240 × 60cm full-height

Floor to ceiling in most UK rooms

Each panel is 240cm tall by 60cm wide, reaching a ceiling in most UK homes. One pack of four covers 5.76m² — no sections or joins to disguise.

QUALITY REASSURANCE

It's not a cheaper panel. It's the same panel, cheaper.

Quality doesn’t come from the middle of the supply chain. It comes from the product itself — and this one has been improved, not stripped back. Every panel in the range is built to the same specification: 8mm PET acoustic backing, 27mm precision-cut slats, 240 × 60cm full-height coverage, delivered assembled and ready to install.

APPLICATIONS

Where the panels work

Rooms that sound better without shouting about it.

The same panel earns its place across very different rooms. Sound absorption behind the surface, a warm architectural finish in front of it, and a scale that suits both homes and commercial fit-outs.

Living rooms

Softer conversation, calmer room

Break up reflected sound so evenings feel less like a hard-surfaced echo chamber. Warm materials, calmer acoustics, one wall.

Home offices

Clearer calls, fewer distractions

Reduce the ambient bounce that muddles video calls and stretches focus. Absorption sits behind the surface, not on top of it.

Media & studios

Cinematic sound, quieter walls

Absorb the reflections that ruin dialogue and detail on a quiet mix. Full-height coverage does the acoustic work invisibly.

Commercial interiors

Hospitality, retail, workspace

Bring residential-grade specification into hospitality, retail and workplace fit-outs at a price that stretches the fit-out budget.

IMPORTER REPUTATION

Two decades of importing

The expertise stayed. The markup didn't.

Behind Acoustic Panels Direct is a UK importing business that has spent twenty years bringing furniture products into the country for the trade. That means real experience in what to source, who to source it from, what to improve and how to price it.

The knowledge that traditionally sat behind the retail curtain now sits behind this online store — and behind every panel that reaches your door. The experienced part of the supply chain remains in place. Only the wholesale and retail journey has been removed.

INSTALLATION

Straightforward to install

Fully assembled. Fixed with adhesive or screws.

The panels are designed to reach the wall as quickly as they reach the customer. No assembly, no proprietary fixings, no specialist trades — just three simple truths about how they go on.

Fully assembled

No parts. No confusion.

Panels arrive complete. No brackets, no clips, no components to align. Slats are pre-mounted on the acoustic backing at the correct factory-set spacing.

Full-height coverage

Ceiling to floor, one piece

At 240cm tall, each panel covers most UK ceiling heights in one continuous run. No horizontal cuts. No staggered joins to disguise on the wall.

Adhesive or screws

Two clean fixing methods

Fix with a suitable grab adhesive on the PET backing, or screw through the backing into studs or battens. Both approaches leave a clean finish.
